~~Who we’re looking for~~
We are looking for confident, ambitious, adaptable, self-motivated graduates who are excellent working both individually or in a team. We need you to be able to build and maintain strong relationships with both your colleagues and external clients through excellent verbal and written communication. A strong attention to detail is a must, as well as having a methodical approach to problem solving. We will expect you to draw on your previous university and employment experiences to manage your time effectively and to meet deadlines. A keen interest in developing your knowledge in Planning, Project Controls and the Project Management of major engineering and construction projects in the UK is essential.
~~Our offer to you~~
You’ll be part of a dynamic team of leaders in the field with opportunities for exposure across several industries including Rail, Aviation, Oil & Gas, Defence, Construction among others and on some of the largest and most exciting engineering projects in the UK, including HS2, Thames Tideway, Battersea Power station, Heathrow and numerous others. For those that are interested there could also be opportunities for international travel, particularly to Australia and Hong Kong where we have a number of other offices. You’ll receive first class training in a number of related areas and will be rewarded with a benefits package that includes our annual ski trip. The annual salary for our graduates during their first year is £23,000 rising to £25,000 after passing probation.
~~The selection process~~
We’ve designed a recruitment process to help give everyone who applies an equal opportunity to show us their best. An outline of what to expect is below:
Stage 1 – Online application
This is your chance to tell us about your academic background and any work experience you have so far. Please think about why a career in Project Controls appeals to you and make sure to include this in your cover letter.
Stage 2 – Interviews (June to August)
If you’re successful with your online application, we’ll contact you by telephone to find out a bit more about your experiences so far and ambitions for the future. If this is in line with what we’re looking for, then we’ll arrange a first interview with you, either at our London office or on Skype if distance is an issue. This is your chance to display the qualities that a CV can’t do justice to!
Stage 3 – Assessment day (mid August)
Those who are successful at the interview stage will be invited to one of our assessment days. These have been scheduled for the 15th, 16th & 17th of August so please make sure you are available on one of those days. There will be some group exercises, a series of short tests and at least two further interviews. These days are as much for you to find out what it’s like to work at LogiKal as much as it is for us to find out your best qualities and fit with the company. These will take place at our London office and have been scheduled for August.
Stage 4 – Offer (September)
The programme is scheduled to start on the 3rd of September and we aim to get offers out to our chosen graduates as soon as possible after our assessment days.
