The Challenge

Sydney Metro has scaled it’s portfolio of works from A$20 billion to A$60 billion in a short scale of time. This created complexities for the organisation in establishing consistent data structures, robust processes and accurate reporting across their PMO teams.

The Approach

LogiKal consulted with the business’s cost, schedule, commercial and finance subject matter experts (SMEs), to understand their pain points and concerns. The DARE- WP05 Stream 2 team analysed the current systems, processes, procedures and reports that the PMO utilised to inform their decision-making. The team then designed a data management framework, developed business processes, and made recommendations to the roles and accountabilities of system users.

It was evident that Sydney Metro PMO teams had gained trust in LogiKal’s approach and adopted the frameworks and recommendations developed by the team.
  • This in turn increased efficiency within the portfolio team and increased the confidence of senior leadership in evidence-based decision making.
