Planning & Scheduling

Good planning is the critical enabler to project success. The key is keeping it simple, giving you easily understood and relevant information to enable fast and effective decision making.

The objective of robust schedule management is to provide a comprehensive review on the sequence of work, key milestone dates and interdependencies that form the critical path.

Our Approach

  • Develop a fully integrated schedule from first principles for the purpose of critical path analysis
  • Align the programme to the form of contract (e.g. NEC, JCT, FIDIC)
  • Establish a baseline or validation of baseline based on scope, quantities, resources, and cost
  • Establish a structured hierarchy of programmes and a planning management plan
  • Substantiate the programme with a basis of schedule/programme narrative
  • Report on schedule performance and progress against the baseline plan
  • Conduct regular schedule quality/integrity checks, programme peer reviews and Quantitative Schedule Risk Assessments (QSRAs)

The 2020 Project Controls Survey Report showed that many organisations still need to improve their basic planning and project controls capability before thinking about taking the next steps to using more cutting edge techniques.
